Super Sites for Students/Kids

Citybugs is a collaborative outreach project between UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resources and the Oakland Unified School District. Entomologists and teachers are working together to create this website and curriculum using insects to teach about science.

Join US EPA's Explorers Club
Learn about nonpoint source pollution by playing a game called What's WRONG With This Picture?!?. At Save Our Species learn about endangered species such as specific species of shrimp, frogs, butterflies, grasses, spiders, fish, clams, rice, snails, turtles, birds, orchids, squirrels, mice, deer, bats, and cacti. Perform seven experiments that teach about characteristics of water and help us to understand how to protect it from pollution. Older Students can visit EPA's Student Center to learn all about the environment and find out about projects and activities you can do at home, internships, scholarships and to test knowledge about recycling, endangered species and more!

National Wildlife Federation
Find out about wildlife, and what you can do to protect wildlife and attract cool critters to your backyard. You too can be one of over 20,000 people who are certified in the National Wildlife Federation’s Backyard Wildlife Habitat program. Ranger Rick's kidzone includes games, outdoor stuff and more!

National Geographic Kids
Explore cyber worlds, play interactive games and get up close and personal with wildlife using the wild-cam. Check back each month for new on-line activities!
