ˇ Schools produced summaries of school projects which received plants, seeds, supplies and support from SEED through School Greenhouse & Nursery.

ˇ Training and on-going support to 200 volunteers and teachers in 44 schools.Promoted MCSTOPPP's env. ed.

ˇ Programs.Supported 12 days of field study programs for grade 1 - 4 (about 1,400 students).

ˇ Distributed plants and ed materials from Marin School Greenhouse & Nursery.

ˇ An Adopt-A-Creek brochure was produced fro distribution to 250 residents along Fairfax Creek as part of a pilot project to enlist their support for creek restoration

ˇ Maintained the overall CreekWatchers program with 60+ volunteers.

ˇ Introduced CreekWatchers to the myriad of MCSTOPPP educational brochures that are available to homeowners.

ˇ Provided informal training sessions for new and current volunteers to learn to evaluate the creek's habitat quality using the California Stream Bioassessment Procedure as well as to gain experience using Friends own mapping checklist. Continued preparations to assess middle and upper Fairfax Creek during low flows. Assessment will occur starting in late August through October. 60 volunteers are involved.

ˇ 2,300 full-color refrigerator magnets were produced and distributed by mail to every active P.O. Box, to local schools and at informational events.

ˇ Produced a brief handout acknowledging MCSTOPPP's funding and including phone numbers for MCSTOPPP and SPAWN.

ˇ Began to map obstructions in lower Ignacio Creek: @ 5 miles from IVC to Pacheco Pond

ˇ Formed a blue ribbon committee.

ˇ Held cleanup day on November 2nd. 72 people showed. 40 bags of garbage was removed.

ˇ Held training for data collectors in Old Mill Park.

ˇ Held two calibration sessions to calibrate and verify test equipment on loan form US EPA.

ˇ Purchased test equipment.\Collected data at over 10 locations throughout east and west Marin.

ˇ Teacher attended Earth Day celebration at Pickleweed Community Center and presented project, sharing pictures and posters and written information..

ˇ 20 first graders picked up trash and debris around San Pedro Ridge Creek and recycled it.

ˇ Removed French Broom with help of 28 fifth-graders and studies harmful effects non-natives can have on a habitat.

ˇ They planted oak tree seeds.Studied helpful and harmful effects that humans have on the environment.
